Housetown records back catalog is now available on all streaming platforms including HTR 003 with Mister Bristle. We caught up with Mister Bristle of Houston at his new record store “Cool Heads Prevail” and asked him a few questions about his love for music.
HTR: What year did you start dj’ing at? MR Bristle:1992ish HTR: Is this your first record store? Mr Bristle: No, I opened up Still Diggin back in 1996 HTR:We heard you threw rave parties is this so? Mr Brisle: Absolutely, we threw a Red Party, A Green Party, and a Silver party…each was under a different style of music for instance one was for house, one for techno and another for d&B HTR: Who was your headliner for the house party? Mr Bristle: Paul Johnson and Stacy Kidd
HTR: Can you give me some record labels that you have signed to? Mr Bristle: Gossip Records in 99′, Rivera in 2000, Dust Traxx in 2002, Crack House Records and Housetown Records. HTR: What gigs were you associated with in Houston? Mr Bristle: The Kitchen with Patric Drew, the Rent Parties and Reprogram which was hip hop orientated. HTR:What do you prefer, vinyl or MP3’s ?
